I posted this in an open thread but the more I think about it the more I like the idea so I wanted to see if any brave souls would help me out with this project:
The idea is a satire project to mock the fact that all the republicans do is sell fear. We would photoshop design a label for a product called "Fear in a Can" with satire directions "Overheat to 5000 degrees rhetoric, then serve to undereducated Americans" sample recipes "Make sure to enjoy two to four media samplings a day." "Local Fear Merchants include CNN, Fox and MSNBC." etc. etc.
The product is made by BushCo, a subsidiary of Halliburton.
We then hand out cans of creamed corn or something but put the Fear labels over them.
We hand these out at all RNC events from here through the election.
In addition we set up a fear website, something like Fearinacan.com, where we use Cafe Press to market an entire "Fear" clothing line, with Fear t-shirts, keychains, and sports coats.
Our slogan: "Buy into the myth Now!"
There's so many different avenues this can take, but if there's one thing that makes the chickenhawks' heads explode it's our pointing out just what fucking cowards they really are.
Lets exploit their fear mongering by mocking them.
Street Theater and political satire are the means by which we can overcome the right-wing bias of cable news and talk radio.
Lets take it to the streets!!
I have no idea how to make this project happen. Any ideas?
